2.2

In English, we will be enjoying the stories The Train Ride, Duck in the Truck and Mr Gumpy’s Outing. The children will take part in interactive and sensory activities to engage with the stories. We will focus on building listening and communication skills, learning new vocabulary, and understanding the events in each story. We will also be taking part in a range of different mark-making activities to help develop our early writing skills.

 

In Maths, we will be focusing on matching, sorting, and comparing numbers, helping us to recognise patterns, identify similarities and differences, and build a strong foundation for our early number skills.

 

Our topic this term is Transport, where children will explore different types of vehicles and ways of travelling through a range of fun and engaging sensory activities. These hands-on experiences will encourage curiosity and active participation, while supporting the development of their language and communication skills and helping them to understand the world around them in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

In English, we will be enjoying the stories Whatever Next! How to Catch a Star, and We’re Off to Look for Aliens. The children will take part in interactive and sensory activities to engage with the stories. We will focus on building listening and communication skills, learning new vocabulary, and understanding the events in each story.

 

In Maths, we will explore numbers through fun, hands-on activities that help children count, recognise, and understand numbers in meaningful ways. They will engage in practical learning using real objects, songs, and games to make Maths enjoyable while developing early Maths skills.

 

Our topic this term is Let’s Explore! Children will take part in a variety of fun and engaging sensory activities. These experiences will support their language and communication skills while helping them understand the world around them in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

In English, we will be enjoying the stories The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s Birthday Party and Dear Santa, as well as exploring lots of fun nursery rhymes together. The children will take part in interactive and sensory activities to help them engage with the stories and songs. We’ll be focusing on building their listening and communication skills, learning new words, and understanding what happens in the stories.

 

In Maths, we will be exploring numbers through fun, hands-on activities that help the children count, recognise, and understand numbers in meaningful ways. We’ll create lots of practical learning opportunities using real objects, songs, and games to make maths enjoyable. Key vocabulary will be introduced and supported with symbols and visuals to help the children build confidence and understanding.

 

Our topic this term is Let’s Celebrate! We will take part in a range of fun and engaging sensory activities to help the children explore different celebrations and special occasions. These experiences will support their language development, communication skills, and understanding of the world around them in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

In English, we will be reading The Colour Monster as we explore different emotions. We will also engage in a variety of sensory activities to help us understand and experience our five senses.

 

In Maths, we will explore numbers, matching, and 2D shapes. We will focus on creating learning opportunities and introducing key vocabulary, supported by symbols.

 

Our topic is All About Me. We will engage in a range of sensory activities to help develop our language skills and understand our emotions
