We took part in World Book Day! Have a look at some of the fantastic costumes, can you guess the characters?

On Friday 17th February, some of our best singers were lucky enough to go to the Birmingham Conservatoire to have their voices professionally recorded as part of "Station Clock" by Susan Philipsz in partnership with Birmingham Big Art Project. Their voices will form part of the Twelve Tones that chime on the hour in front of the new Curzon Street Railway station. We were very excited to be involved and had to enter a singing competition in order to try and win a place. Once the station opens, our voices will be heard at five o clock each day so go and have listen at this free public installation!

On 7th February, our Arts Councillors went to the Hippodrome for training. We played some games to develop our social skills, thought about how to be a good arts ambassador, and discussed some ideas for projects to do back in school and started to make plans. Watch this space for Storytellers on Tour soon!

The Year 5 and 6 Netball team went to King Heath boys to play other schools in a Netball competition. There were 6 other schools at the competition and Allens Croft made it to the semi-finals coming in fourth place. We had a great time and many goals were scored. The children did a great job at showing our school values of determination and passion.

Some the children have been visiting King Edward School to take part in a ceramics workshop over a number of weeks. They have had a fantastic time.
