PE 

PE is every Monday morning for RJ and RW. Please ensure your child has their PE kit on already when they come to school, as they will wear it for the rest of the day.

They should wear: 

-white t-shirt 

-black/navy shorts / jogging bottoms / leggings

-black pumps and/or trainers

-long hair tied up

Outdoor Learning

We try to give the children the option of outdoor learning every day and in all weathers, so please ensure they have appropriate clothing in school as the weather is often unpredictable!

As a unit, we will visit the forest area every Friday. Please ensure your child has their wellies and a warm coat during the colder months and a sunhat during the warmer months. 

Reading Books

Children will choose a story book from the class library to take home and share with an adult, this will encourage reading for pleasure. These books will be changed every Wednesday. Please ensure your child returns their books to school on this day, every week. You can upload a comment about your child's reading at home on our home learning app, Seesaw.

Come Read With Me

Every Thursday afternoon, there is an opportunity for families to come into the reception classroom and share books with their child. This supports the children understand the value of reading and they always enjoy when a family member comes to visit so please do come along. We do not expect anyone to come every single week unless you want to but at least once a term would be great. You can also bring along other family members. Please let us know in advance if anyone has any access requirements (our chairs are very small to sit on!)
