Introduction And Faith Makes A Difference

Faith Makes A Difference

At Allens Croft, we take pride in our commitment to Equality and Diversity. This is evident in our approach to teaching children how we can all be different, but are accepting and respectful towards each other.

Religious Education (RE) at our school is taught through a carefully chosen scheme that helps children explore and understand a wide range of beliefs, values, and cultures.

This structured approach ensures that learning is thoughtful, balanced, and age-appropriate, allowing pupils to develop respect and empathy for others in our diverse world. Through RE, children not only learn about different religions and worldviews but also reflect on their own beliefs and the values that help us live together in harmony.

National Curriculum

The National curriculum states that:

'Every state-funded school must offer a curriculum which is balanced and broadly based, and which:

● Promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils.

● Prepares pupils at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

Our Scheme

The Primary Religion and worldviews curriculum covers a number of organised worldviews with increasing depth and breadth. Exploring concepts through an enquiry based approach, children will investigate a variety of worldviews, including but not limited to:

  • Christian
  • Muslim
  • Hindu
  • Sikh
  • Jewish
  • Buddhist
  • Humanist
