How will the school let me know if they have any concerns about my child’s learning?

If there are concerns about a child’s level of need or amount of progress that has been made, the class teacher will arrange to discuss this with you. Your child's progress is discussed twice yearly on parent consultations and at the end of the year through the annual school report. Allens Croft aim to promote appropriate and effective teaching and learning along with open and honest communication and a partnership approach.

When difficulties are identified, teachers will adapt classroom practices and/or implement interventions to support your child's development. Where these adaptations are not deemed to be effective following sustained implementation, the SENDCo will become involved. This may involve a meeting with parent/carer and possibly other agencies.
