ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurological condition which is diagnosed by clinical professionals. 

Community Paediatricians and GPs as well as school can make a referral to the ADHD nursing team following evidenced support of the graduated approach over a period of 6 months.

Following a referral, your child's details will be held and triaged for assessment. The waiting list for assessment from the date of referral can be up to 36 months. 

Please note that for children under the age of 7, ADHD referrals are not likely to be triaged.
