Year 3's Visitors and trips

Here is where you can find out more about the exciting trips that we go on and the wonderful visitors who come into our classrooms.
Cadbury World
Year 3 had a wonderful trip to Cadbury World. We had a talk from one of the workers there who showed us where chocolate comes from and explained it's history. Afterwards, the brave children went into the 4D cinema and went on an adventure with some of the characters from famous Cadbury adverts.
After a lovely lunch, near Santa's grotto, we went into the factory. We were all amazed at the different displays that show how chocolate has been eaten throughout history.
All the children were beautifully behaved, a real credit to the school. WELL DONE YEAR 3.
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery
Year 3 braved the cold weather and went into town to visit the Museum and Art Gallery. We made sure that we visited the room full of wonders from Ancient Greece, as our topic is Gods and Mortals. We were amazed to see the beautiful pots that the museum has. Year 3 are in the middle of making our own pots in the Greek style.
Lots of children really enjoyed the exhibit about the history of Birmingham. We learnt about the HP factory and what life was like for the women of Birmingham during the Second World War. The museum has got lots of famous art work to see. The children thought that the Lowry painting was very interesting!
What a lovely trip!
