Year 2's Trips + Visitors
L a n d A h o y !
We recently had a visit from Captain Barnacle who taught us all about the in's and out's of pirate life!
Take a look at us watching him perform below:
Blackbeard was the most feared pirate of all.
The skull and crossbones flag at the top of a pirate ship is called a Jolly Roger.
Each pirate ship had its own set of rules and code.
We have been making our very own treasure maps in year 2 which are displayed in and outside our classrooms - come and see!
Warwick Castle Trip
On Monday 4th March, Year 2 visited Warwick Castle. We began the day by exploring the castle grounds and visiting the Great Hall. Here we saw some amazing suits of armour and gigantic swords. Next, we climbed the castle walls and some of us climbed to the top of the tallest turret (the view was amazing!). 2G enjoyed the bird of prey display, where we met Brian and Katie the red kites. Their soaring acrobatics amazed us all! The highlight of the day was the Horrible Histories Maze, where we all enjoyed getting lost through time! :)
