Music Service Ukulele Gala Concert
19th July 2016
All year 4 children at Allens Croft have whole-class Ukulele lessons. In year 5 and 6, children have the option to continue learning the Ukulele in smaller groups. Some of these children went to the Symphony Hall in Birmingham to take part in a Gala concert with lots of other schools across Birmingham.
We played six pieces across the whole evening and you can hear the "James Bond" theme by clicking the link above right.

Year 3 Gods and Mortals workshop
As an extension and exploration of their "Gods and Mortals" topic, year 3 had a drama workshop delivered by artis. They thoroughly enjoyed creating Greek God poses and thinking about what their character might say and feel.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
The whole of Key Stage 2 went to see "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" at the REP. The children were captivated by the live theatre performance and the show provided the stimulus for much of the curriculum work that term.
